Belisarius21

A military history of the campaigns of Belisarius, the greatest general of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Emperor Justinian. He twice defeated the Persians and reconquered North Africa from the Vandals in a single year at the age of 29, before going on to regain Spain and Italy, including Rome (briefly), from the barbarians. Belisarius21Belisarius21A German publication quoted on the Overvalwagen Forum mentions 17 pieces Krupp 13cm guns ordered by Turkey in the late 1930s. Deliveries were halted by the German govt after three guns had been delivered. For a long time I had discarded this historic piece of intel and thought it might have been a typo. However, this order should not be confused with the order for Krupp 15cm guns or Skoda 21cms, made (and cancelled) simultaneously. I reckon this 13cm gun was a German naval weapon, possibly to be used as coastal and I think it can only have been the 12,7cm (actually 128mm) SKC/34. Can this be true? Does anybody know of these guns being supplied for Turkey? Some of the German weapons were bored out 10,5cm SKC/28, so another possibility is that Krupp was going to bore out WW1 era Turkish 10,5cm naval guns.
